Our Legal team plays a crucial role in supporting DeepL's growth and innovation while ensuring regulatory compliance. We're looking for a Marketing Legal Counsel to provide strategic guidance and ensure legal compliance across our international marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on international marketing activities and strategies
• Guide global events, campaigns, and marketing initiatives
• Review and negotiate agreements with suppliers and business partners
• Ensure compliance with UK and international regulations
• Conduct marketing-related legal training sessions
• Monitor and advise on relevant legal changes
• Collaborate with external counsel
• Deliver proactive risk management aligned with company culture

Requirements

• UK or US law license
• 5+ years experience as legal counsel specializing in marketing
• Expertise in copyright, trademark, data privacy, contract, and competition law
• International work experience
• Tech company experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Excellent multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments
• Superior problem-solving and analytical skills
• Fluent English communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Global legal advisory experience (US and/or APAC)
• Experience advising purchasing departments
